What should I bring for the cruise?

We recommend bringing swimwear, sunscreen, sunglasses, warm clothing (for November to March), insect repellent, comfortable walking shoes, any personal medication, and a valid passport for check-in. It’s also helpful to have some cash, a phone with an internet-enabled SIM card, and of course, a camera to capture Halong Bay’s stunning scenery. Don’t forget to pack a good appetite and a positive attitude to fully enjoy your cruise experience!

How does the pickup and drop-off work?

We provide pickup and drop-off services from Hanoi Old Quarter, Ninh Binh Center, and Ha Long City. You can choose between a comfortable bus or a luxury limousine, depending on your package. After booking, you’ll receive a confirmation with your exact pickup time and location. We ensure a smooth and timely transfer to and from your destination.

Do they cater to special dietary requirements?

Yes, we offer vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, and other special meals upon request. Please let us know your dietary needs at least 24 hours before departure so we can prepare accordingly.

What is the cancellation and refund policy?

Our cancellation policy varies depeding on how early you cancel: More than 20 days before departure: Full refund 10-20 days before departure: 50% refund 7-10 days before departure: 30% refund Less than 7 days or no-show: No refund Please refer to our full cancellation policy on the booking page for more details.

What is the child policy?

Children from 1 to under 5 years old: Free of charge if they share meals and bed with parents (extra costs may apply). Children from 5 to under 10 years old: 75% of the adult price, sharing a room with parents. Children 10 years old and above are charged as adults. 1 child under 5 is allowed per 2 adults. The second child will be charged 50% of the adult price.

Is travel insurance included?

No. We strongly recommend purchasing comprehensive travel insurance in your home country before your trip for full coverage, including medical emergencies, trip interruptions, and cancellations.

07:45-08:30: Our bus will pick you up from your hotel in Hanoi Old Quarters to Ha Long Bay. (We also pick-up from Ninh Binh or Ha Long City upon request).

Noon

From 11:45 – 12:00, Capella Cruises gives you a warm welcome at Tuan Chau Marina. After the check-in session, you move to the cruise by boat. The very first experience on Capella Cruise is a delightful buffet lunch at the fine dining restaurant – Harmony of the Sea (featuring a separate menu for vegetarians and special diets).

Afternoon

In the afternoon, Capella anchors for outdoor activities on the Ao Ech. Numerous entertaining facilities are available, listed as seasonal swimming pool, jacuzzi, floating ocean pool, inflatable water slide, kayak. Alternatively, you can bask in the warm sunlight on the Ocean Sky sundeck or relax at the mini-golf course.

At dusk, you are invited to join Sunset Happy hours (Buy 2 get 1 free) at the Spirit of the Sea Lounge and the sundeck area. You will be feasted on freshly prepared canapés with some complimentary exotic drinks while waiting for the dark orange sunset. Moreover, don’t miss the fun cooking demonstration with the guidance of talented chefs.

Evening

After a half day full of amazing activities, the Harmony of the Sea Restaurant with the sophisticated chefs waits to indulge you in a delightful fusion feast of seafood and 5-star dishes.

After dinner, you can take part in funny onboard activities such as casino games at the Cigar & Poker room; boarding games at the Spirit of the Sea Lounge. For those who seek a local-like experience, night squid fishing is a great option to experience. After getting enough recreational activities onboard, you spend a peaceful night in the delighted cabin of Capella.

DAY 2: DARK & BRIGHT CAVES - LAN HA BAY

Morning

Taking Tai-chi exercise at Ocean Sky Sundeck is a great way to start a brand-new day. After enjoying the superb breakfast at the private restaurant, you will take on an excursion to uncover the Dark & Bright Cave on traditional rowing bamboo boats or kayaking.

After getting enough water-based activities, you come back to Capella Cruise. Within 1 leisure hour, you feel free to sunbathe or join in different recreational activities.

The cabin check-out process starts at 9:30 while Capella sails towards the port. You will enjoy an appetizing buffet brunch at the restaurant after checking out. After the Capella crew say farewell, you will come back to Tuan Chau Marina by boat. The journey finishes at 11:00. Take our transfer to return to Hanoi.
